About meWe, the grant-writing team, are a group of motivated members of the HNN who get together over coffee to research and discuss funding opportunities to further our community work and move forward. Among this informal committee, we have a researcher with the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, a 20-year community garden leader and board member of Denver Urban Gardens, a staff member of Denver Urban Gardens involved in community work, a therapeutic youth garden program leader, a long-time community gardener and community activist who works with adults with traumatic brain injuries, and long-time community gardener committed to working with youth in a variety of settings and passionate community activist. We believe strongly in what we do and what we aim to do, and we enjoy it as we go. We believe this grant opportunity mirrors our own development - one of interested citizens coming together voluntarily to build a healthier Denver, one project at a time. |
