Robert Encila is a sixteen-year veteran in theatre education, having served as a certified public and private schoolteacher and as adjunct professor of acting at Pima Community College. A fine arts scholar at the University of Arizona, Robert has performed internationally as a singer, actor, dancer, and musician. He has directed over forty productions and acted in multiple genres with notable appearances in Godspell, Pippin, Man of La Mancha, Jesus Christ Superstar, Othello, A Normal Heart, and most recently in Borderlands Theatre's productions of Mixed Messages and Conjunto. A former lead singer for the Afro-Cuban band Ache Pa' Ti, he currently holds the position of choir director at the Episcopal Church of St. Matthew and theatre director at The Francis and Claire Theatre Ensemble. Robert lives in Tucson with his wife, Ginny, and daughters Alexandra, Catherine, and Maya.
