My Project DiaryAppreciation to supportersJanuary 8, 2008Project: Some generous folks' contributions, but not all, end up on the widget thingy, because some funds are given directly to the project. Thank you to Sonja Foss and Donnie Veasey; thanks to Regis University's Office of Public Relations. We have a logo! And it's cool.January 8, 2008Project: Chad Bratten has designed us a beautiful logo and poster template (see our photo page). ContributionsDecember 29, 2007Project: Thanks to generous contributions from friends of the project, we're now at $400, which is enough to do a small-scale pilot project (already in the planning) in the Golden Triangle district. Making it happenNovember 1, 2007Project: This project has taken Daniel and me about 15 months to articulate. Two people who worked together on a theatre project 20 years ago, Daniel and I were reconnected by circumstance in 2006, met over coffee, realized we had a resonant philosophical perspective and overlapping or complementary skills, and within the next 15 minutes, managed to say what we'd like to see happen in Denver and how we'd like to be directing our energies. The intervening 15 months have involved meeting one every 3-5 weeks and moving, slowly, towards a plan that seems not only aesthetically pleasing and exciting, but do-able. We've enjoyed playing with and refining ideas, and trying some of them out. The fact that we might be able to fund our project sufficiently to get it off the ground, and in a relatively easy, user-friendly way, has refocused and re-energized us. Here we go. |
